Hey everyone!! My name is Catarina and I’m from Portugal. Currently, I’m on a research grant that hopefully will lead me to start my PhD in November at the University of Coimbra. In my spare time, I like to read, have fun with friends, and play video games. Last year, I took my master’s degree in electronics and computer engineering with a specialisation in telecommunications and a sub-specialisation in services and networks. But in this new project, I’m going to be working with optical and electric sensors to detect the person’s hydration. For this reason, I was attracted to TinyML! I also learn about all the cool things that are possible with tiny devices, and I loved making an IoT project for one of my master’s classes.
I hope by joining this community, I will meet new people with interesting ideas and maybe do some brainstorming, and I also hope to have a support system while I’m doing my PhD (working with TinyML).
I enjoy football (soccer), badminton, tennis… a lot of sports. 
My favourite food is pizza, and I would love to start travelling more (I need a travel buddy or to start going solo).
