How are the models updated when there is no internet connection?

Good morning.

I suddenly become curious about how TinyML models are updated in the real world. Many TinyML devices are located where there is no internet connection. In case the TinyML models need to be updated, how is the job done? Do people manually detach the device and connect it to a computer, or is there other more convenient approaches?

Typically one would have a comms module that periodically comes up. Not something that’s on all the time. The reason for keeping the comms off is that communication is very power hungry.
